It's pretty good for a start :)

Maybe if you added some more charecters and wepons and all the stuff rishno said. If you wan't to look into actionscript a bit more you could try using a webcam to make your own face draggable on the screen, i know it's a bit advanced (for me :D) but you need something to make it unique.

a few more things

1.you definatly need helth
2.they shouldnt just go past if you dont shoot them
3.maybe some music

or instead of health you could do lives.

with these it would be a realy good game. hopefully.
